Recital
at amherst dance academy
Our winter and spring recitals are the highlight of the year, giving dancers of all ages the chance to shine on stage and share everything they’ve learned. These special performances celebrate our students’ hard work, growth, and love for dance. Family and friends are invited to join us for an evening of beautiful performances and unforgettable memories. ADA does all of our pictures in-house with our own equipment, lighting, camera, and teachers. Dancers may participate in a class photo (free) and may also choose to do individual photos with three poses per costume ($5 per costume). Families can view and order published pictures below:

Class and Individual Photos with ADA
Please consider completing the photo release form. This gives us permission to use class & individual photos on our website. The digital signature form marks an effective date, which means you only have to fill this out one time. Should you wish to change permissions, please notify us as soon as possible.

Dress Rehearsals
Dress rehearsals run smoothly when everyone arrives prepared. Please arrive 15–20 minutes early. Dancers ages 3-5 and under must check in at the Child Check-In Center, where parents will receive a pickup number before leaving. Children are taken backstage to change into their Christmas costumes and wait until their group is called to rehearse on stage. After rehearsal, parents return to pick up their dancer, and pickup numbers are verified for all children 3-5. Costumes may be worn only for rehearsals and recitals and must remain the studio's property after the performance.
Recital
For recital day, please arrive 15–20 minutes early and check in young dancers (ages 3-5) at the Child Check-In Center to receive your pickup number. Dancers will be sent backstage separately, and a few minutes later, parents may then head to the auditorium to watch the performance. After your dancer’s routine, please return to the check-in area for pickup; numbers will be verified for all children under 6. Christmas costumes must be returned after the performance, so please send your dancer with an extra change of clothes.
